Job summary

Fanatics is seeking a Lead Facilities Electrician to manage hands-on installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical systems across warehouse, manufacturing, office, and outdoor spaces. You will lead electricians, plan daily work, ensure safety and quality, and coordinate with contractors to keep facilities running efficiently.

The role requires strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and NFPA 70E safety practices, with 5+ years of industrial experience and supervisory

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Technical certification or associate degree in electrical tech preferred.
  • Valid electrician license or journeyman/master certification as required by state/local regulations.
  • 5+ years industrial/commercial electrical experience; 2+ years supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience in 24/7 environments (warehouse/manufacturing) preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.

Responsibilities

  • Perform hands-on electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, installations, and modifications on facility systems and equipment.
  • Lead technicians in completing work orders, preventive maintenance, repairs, projects, and emergency response activities.
  • Plan, assign, and monitor daily work to ensure safe, accurate, and timely completion.
  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical components, including wiring, lighting, panels, motors, transformers, controls, VFDs, conveyors, and related assets.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams, manuals, and technical drawings.
  • Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, complete repairs, and recommend actions to reduce downtime.

Role Summary

The Lead Facilities Electrician is a hands‑on, journeyman‑level role responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and improvement of facility electrical systems and equipment across warehouse, manufacturing, office, and outdoor environments. This role performs electrical work directly while leading technicians assigned to electrical maintenance tasks and facility projects. The position plans and prioritizes daily work, provides technical direction, verifies work quality and safety, coordinates with facilities leadership and contractors, and supports reliable facility operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform hands‑on electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, installations, and modifications on facility systems and equipment.
  • Lead technicians in completing work orders, preventive maintenance, repairs, projects, and emergency response activities.
  • Plan, assign, and monitor daily work to ensure safe, accurate, and timely completion.
  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical components, including wiring, lighting, panels, motors, transformers, controls, VFDs, conveyors, and related assets.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams, manuals, and technical drawings.
  • Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, complete repairs, and recommend actions to reduce downtime.
  • Support preventive and predictive maintenance through inspections, documentation, and improvement recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with NEC, OSHA, NFPA 70E, lockout/tagout, company safety policies, and procedures.
  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors on assigned electrical work, service calls, projects, and repairs.
  • Maintain tools, parts, equipment, and inventory; identify material needs for planned and emergency work.
  • Complete CMMS work orders, reports, documentation, and equipment history updates.
  • Train and coach technicians on troubleshooting, safety, equipment operation, and procedures.
  • Provide input on projects, cost control, parts selection, and continuous improvement.
  • Support emergency response, overtime, weekends, and after‑hours call‑outs as needed.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Technical school certification or associate degree in electrical technology preferred.
  • Valid electrician license or journeyman/master electrician certification as required by state/local regulations.
  • 5+ years of industrial/commercial electrical experience and 2+ years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Hands‑on experience troubleshooting and maintaining electrical and related building systems.
  • Experience supporting warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, critical operations, or other 24/7 environments preferred.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, controls, and safety standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
  • Proficiency with building and maintenance management systems is a plus.

Working Conditions

  • Exposure to energized electrical systems, industrial machinery, mechanical equipment, noise, dust, temperature variation, and weather conditions may occur.
  • Work may require use of PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, hard hat, hearing protection, fall protection, and arc flash‑rated clothing when applicable.
  • Work near energized equipment must follow NFPA 70E, lockout/tagout, and established company safety procedures.
  • May require overtime, weekends, or on‑call availability to support equipment downtime, emergencies, projects, and 24/7 operations.
  • Occasional travel between buildings on campus or off‑site facilities may be required.
