Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret electrical single-line diagrams, wiring schematics, and panel schedules.
• Proficiency with electrical test instruments and safe electrical work practices.
• Experience using CMMS systems for work orders and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical distribution equipment.
• Inspect grounding systems, bonding, cable trays, bus ducts, and protective devices.
• Conduct insulation resistance, continuity checks, torque verification, load measurements, and IR thermography.
• Maintain testing gear (megger, clamp meters) and calibration.
• Troubleshoot faults in power and motor circuits and distribution components.
• Respond to electrical emergencies and power disturbances.
• Support installation of conduit, wiring, and panels per codes.
• Assist contractors and engineering during construction, startup, commissioning.
• Verify labeling, phasing, torquing, and proper installation of new equipment.
• Follow NFPA 70, 70E, OSHA safety requirements including arc flash boundaries and LOTO.
• Maintain electrical documentation, panel schedules, breaker lists, and CMMS records.
• Participate in safety inspections, electrical audits, and risk assessments.
• Conduct routine electrical rounds to assess system status.
• Support system startups/shutdowns, load transfers, and power restoration.
• Collaborate with HVAC/mechanical/utilities teams for cross-functional tasks.

What you will be doing:

• Establish andPerformpreventive and corrective maintenance on electrical distribution equipment including switchgear, MCCs, panelboards, breakers, disconnects, transformers, UPS units, and emergency generators.
• Inspect andmaintaingrounding systems, bonding conductors, cable trays, bus ducts, and protective devices.
• Conduct electrical testing such as insulation resistance, continuity checks, torque verification, load measurements, and IR thermography.
• Ensure all sets (megger, clamp meters etc) are maintained and calibrated
• Troubleshoot faults in power circuits, motor circuits, breakers, relays, and facility electrical distribution components.
• Respond to electrical emergencies, power disturbances, and equipment trips to restore operations safely and efficiently.
• Support installation of conduit, wiring, cable pulls, junction boxes, breakers, receptacles, and panels according to electrical codes and site standards.
• Assistcontractors and engineering teams during construction, startup, and commissioning of facility electrical systems.
• Verify labeling, phasing,torquing, and proper installation of all new electrical equipment.
• Follow all NFPA 70 (NEC), NFPA 70E, and OSHA electrical safety requirements including arc?flash boundaries, PPE, and LOTO procedures.
• Maintainaccurateelectrical documentation, panel schedules, breaker lists, and maintenance records through the CMMS platform.
• Participate in safety inspections, electrical audits, and risk assessments to ensure full compliance.
