Job summary

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Salt Lake City invites students or recent graduates to an internship in facilities planning and design. You will develop technical building documentation, evacuation plans, and life safety diagrams for a large portfolio of historic buildings, using Revit and other drafting tools.

The 12‑month program is part‑time (20–28 hours/week) with a flexible schedule and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Current student or recent graduate (within 12 months) with a degree in facilities management, drafting, construction, architecture, engineering, or related field.
• 1+ years of experience using Revit.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate information clearly through graphics and technical documents

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain building evacuation plans, life safety diagrams, and emergency information for a portfolio of 66+ existing and historic buildings totaling over 9.8 million sq ft.
• Interpret floor plans and field information to document evacuation routes, exits, fire safety equipment, areas of refuge, and other life safety features.
• Use Revit to create clear, user-friendly building documentation.
• Verify building conditions and maintain facility information to keep evacuation plans current.
• Support facility planning through drafting, documentation, and data management tasks.
