Job summary

Waukesha County's Facilities Management Division is seeking a student in architectural or engineering studies to collect and enter information into the county's automated facility management system, verify building systems, and prepare or update AutoCAD drawings.

The position offers up to 30 hours per week, is temporary (approximately 3 months, up to 12 months with possible extension), and requires passing a background check by the Sheriff's Department.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an architectural, engineering, or closely-related field post-high school degree program (Associate, Bachelor, Master).
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and knowledge of various buildings related software systems.
• Basic understanding of buildings, construction and related systems.
• Ability to read, create, and understand architectural systems and blueprints; locate information on current buildings and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Collect and enter information into the County's automated facility management system.
• Verify architectural, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Prepare or update building AutoCAD drawings.
