Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is seeking a Custodian to maintain cleanliness across assigned areas and ensure sanitation standards are met. The role involves daily cleaning tasks, hazards awareness, and following safety guidelines.

The ideal candidate will have 3–6 months of training or related experience, plus a valid driver's license if required. The position may require driving between client sites and adherence to company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• 3–6 months training or experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• No specific education requirement.
• A valid driver's license may be required for this position based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties.
• Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule.
• Perform Hazardous Waste responsibilities including collecting, classifying, sorting, storing, shipping and receiving, labeling, cleaning, recycling, packaging of special and hazardous waste.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment.
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area.
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Stop at risk behavior of others and self.
• Perform work assignments in a team with other employees.
• Perform repetitive tasks.
• Maintain clean work area.
• Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules.
• Take direction and respond to supervision.
• Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner.
• Fill in during staff shortage
• Support shift lead in completing punch-list items
• Use proper personal protective equipment
• Present a professional appearance and conduct
• Understand customer service and satisfaction
• The ability to drive to various work locations, customer sites, or company facilities may be necessary to perform the essential functions of this position.
• Understand reporting systems, and of the environment
