Job summary

A reputable institution in Kentucky is seeking an Extension Custodian responsible for overall maintenance and cleanliness of the Extension office. Duties include facility management, cleaning, basic landscaping, and repairs. Candidates should be able to lift heavy objects and work outdoors. Salary range is $15.30 – $20.00 per hour. This is a full-time position with no supervisory responsibilities and requires a driver's license.

Qualifications

• Ability to sweep, mop, vacuum, operate floor scrubber/buffer, and perform other cleaning duties.
• Ability to lift, push, pull and carry objects up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to engage in regular/routine standing, walking, squatting, bending, reaching, climbing.
• Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather.

Responsibilities

• Maintain overall custodial operations of the Extension office, including cleaning and facility management.
• Perform cleaning tasks: bathrooms, kitchens, vacuuming, dusting, trash and recycling.
• Assist with conference room setup and configuration changes; strip and wax floors as needed.
• Perform basic landscaping tasks for outdoor areas.
• Interact professionally with staff and the public.
