Job summary

Morgan County is seeking a Custodial Maintenance Worker to join the Public Works Department. This full-time role maintains clean, safe facilities and handles building security duties in the evenings, waste disposal, and general upkeep, including floors, restrooms, and equipment upkeep.

The worker will operate cleaning tools, respond to spillages, and support snow removal as needed. Applicants should meet the minimum age and license requirements, be able to perform physically demanding tasks

Qualifications

• Applicants must be at least 16 years of age, preferably 18 years of age or over.
• Must possess a valid Drivers' License

Responsibilities

• Turns off lights and locks up buildings; secures county buildings each evening.
• Disposes of waste and maintains cleanliness of floors, restrooms, and surfaces.
• Uses cleaning tools (brooms, mops, vacuums, floor machines) to clean floors and surfaces.
• Dusts, cleans and polishes furniture, fixtures and windows.
• Cleans walls, ceilings and partitions; handles sanitizing and cleaning solutions.
• Performs snow removal and assists with exterior upkeep.
• Performs other duties as required.
