Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center is seeking a dedicated facilities custodian to maintain cleanliness and smooth operation across our Metairie location. You will perform routine custodial tasks, restock essential supplies, and support the Executive Director with daily operations.

Ideal candidates have strong communication, multitasking, and time-management skills, with at least two years of related experience and a sobriety milestone if in recovery.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, multitasking, and time management skills.
• No formal education required.
• Minimum of two years' related experience preferred.
• If in recovery, a minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety is required.
• Strong responsibility and attention to detail.
• Dignified, honest character which models recovery principles.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and smooth function of property and plant.
• Perform routine custodial duties such as cleaning, restocking, removing garbage etc.
• Provide consistent operational support as required by the Executive Director.
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly checklists to ensure cleanliness and upkeep of facility.
• Report on all activities completed, escalating any concerns to the Executive Director.
