Job summary

Sam’s Club in Jackson, MI is looking for a Maintenance Associate to keep the parking lot, restrooms, and floors clean, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for members and associates. You will be on your feet, in fast-paced settings, and perform maintenance tasks to uphold cleanliness and safety standards.

You’ll operate floor scrubbers, respond to spills, manage supplies, and support the company’s safety and environmental programs. Competitive pay and benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and perform physical work.

Responsibilities

• Maintains safety of Facility by following all safety standards and guidelines, including safety sweeps, forklift spotting, handling and disposing of hazardous materials, and reporting unsafe situations.
• Cleans all areas of the Facility (floors, windows, restrooms, trash receptacles) using approved chemicals, supplies, tools, and equipment.
• Ensures a safe and clean environment for Members and Associates by performing maintenance, responding to spills, operating floor scrubbers, and disposing of waste per program.
• Maintains appropriate levels of chemicals and supplies, rotates storage properly, and places orders to replenish shortages.
