Job summary

The Salvation Army Indiana Division is seeking a Custodian to maintain the facility and provide a safe, clean environment for all visitors and staff.

You will be responsible for floor care, restroom sanitation, waste removal, and light outdoor maintenance, with opportunities to work nights or weekends as needed. A valid driver’s license and Safe from Harm training are required within 90 days of employment.

Qualifications

• Proficient English communication for leadership and clientele.
• Ability to operate floor cleaning machines and mowing equipment.
• Background check will be reviewed.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and Safe from Harm training within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Maintain floors by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and using floor machines.
• Restock and clean bathrooms, disinfect sinks, urinals, toilets, mirrors.
• Empty and sanitize waste receptacles; remove debris inside and outside.
• Clean windows, walls, counters, pews, and information tables.
• Perform outdoor maintenance: shoveling, deicing, mowing, weed control, replacing lights.
