Job summary

CONAM Management Corporation manages The Grove at Deerwood in Jacksonville, FL, and is seeking a Facilities and Custodial Technician to maintain grounds, assist with repairs, and support the maintenance team in a fast-paced apartment community.

The role pays $20.00–$22.00 per hour, is full-time with benefits, and requires hands-on custodial and maintenance experience, plus the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. A flexible schedule and on-call rotation are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1+ years of hands-on experience in custodial / apartment maintenance.
• Proficiency in plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, appliance repair and carpentry.
• Ability to operate and maintain hand tools and power equipment listed above.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication and resident-service focus.

Responsibilities

• Grounds: maintain cleanliness of common areas, remove trash from vacant units, ensure locks/gates meet safety standards.
• Painting: follow guidelines and maintain clean work areas.
• Housekeeping: clean property, leasing office, restrooms, models and vacant units; manage supplies.
• Maintenance: assist with equipment upkeep, respond to service requests, maintain tools and inventory, assist with make-ready tasks.
• Records & Safety: document service requests, follow safety protocols, report hazards.
• Customer Service: build rapport with residents, handle complaints, assist with after-hours emergencies.
• Other Duties: perform additional tasks as needed.
