Job summary

MSGCU seeks a Facilities Coordinator to manage building operations across multiple sites in Michigan. You will coordinate maintenance reviews, vendor scheduling, service requests, and back up for building security, ensuring timely, quality service.

  • Vendor Coordination: schedules and coordinates work with vendors (janitorial, landscaping, HVAC, etc.) and tracks performance.
  • Facilities Team Support: provides support for budgeting, onboarding/offboarding, supplies, and intranet page maintenance.
  • Building Operations & Maintenance: general maintenance, deliveries, inventory, event setup/breakdown.

Overview of Responsibilities
  • Coordinates facilities operational tasks, including maintenance reviews, vendor scheduling, supply fulfillment, and service requests.
  • Help Desk: Monitors the Facilities team helpdesk by resolving or assigning all service requests to ensure proper resolution in a timely manner. Maintains service ticketing system to document requests, provide resolution updates, and track progress. Assess service requests for completion, timeliness, and overall resolution. Coordinates and fulfills all walk-up Facilities and supply requests that require immediate action.
  • Vendor Coordination: Schedules and coordinates work with vendors, including janitorial, landscaping, snow removal, window cleaning, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, security, and banking equipment. Monitors vendor performance and ensures service levels are met. Coordinates the Facilities department’s vendor management process by proactively tracking reporting requirements, requesting required documentation from vendors, reviewing for completeness, and presenting to appropriate leaders for approval.
  • Facilities Team Support: Provides support as necessary for the broader Facilities Team to ensure excellent support for the organization including, supply orders, budgeting, onboarding and offboarding processes, and maintaining the department intranet page and calendar. Serves as back-up for building security by creating and reissuing access badges and reviewing security footage as needed.
  • Building Operations & Maintenance:Performs general maintenance, including grounds upkeep, occasional spot cleaning, inspections, and minor repairs. Receives and disperses deliveries. Ensures supply room inventories, first aid supplies, and copy room materials are adequately stocked and well organized. Assists with event set-up and breakdown, including arranging furniture, equipment, food, and beverages as needed.

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Associate degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • 3 years of experience in a Facilities or administrative-related role required, preferably with general knowledge of building maintenance in a multi-site environment.
Working Conditions:
  • Office and branch location environment, with occasional new construction site visits and periodic outdoor assignments. Little discomfort from noise, extreme temperature, dust or other factors.
  • Occasionally required to travel throughout MSGCU's service area as business needs require. Travel: Frequent travel throughout MSGCU’s service area. Team member to provide own transportation with eligibility for on-the-job mileage reimbursement.
  • Exposed to potentially hazardous conditions, such as robbery. Receives detailed instructions and security procedures on an annual basis to minimize risk.
  • Strength Level – Medium: Ability to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Normal working hours will be MSGCU’s standard branch and administrative office hours of operation, however, periodic weekends and/or before/after normal work hours will be required.

  • Base pay starts at $19.70 / hour
