Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a reliable Lead to ensure facility operations follow policies and procedures at a Bethpage, NY location. The Lead coordinates daily operations by delegating tasks and supervising the team in the Manager's absence.

The role involves operating cleaning equipment, handling chemicals, and supporting general janitorial duties. Pay is $21.60 per hour for full-time shifts (Wed–Sat, various swings). Benefits are offered and veterans are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma, GED, or college degree not required.
• 1 year of similar work experience preferred.
• 1 year of customer service experience preferred.
• 1 year of lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Valid Driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow assigned work schedules and route cards as directed.
• Provides leadership and direction to team members.
• Provides open communication between field employees and management, monitors and documents client communications.
• Oversee and perform cleaning operations in assigned building.
• Takes care of keys and access cards for the property.
• Oversee and perform additional service requests (tag job) in assigned building.
• Oversees quality of jobs and confirms completion with Area Manager.
• Provides training for all new hires assigned to the building in accordance with onboarding procedures.
• Completes and validates any time records for regular or subcontractor employees.
• Checks supplies, equipment, and chemicals weekly.
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
