Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Collects and empties trash and recycling according to cleaning schedules; handles waste and spills following proper cleaning procedures.
• Assembles cleaning carts and prepares, dilutes cleaning solutions as directed by manufacturers.
• Cleans floors, corridors, stairwells, walls, partitions, and windows with mops and detergents.
• Vacuums, strips and waxes floors, and shampoos carpets with appropriate equipment.
• Scrubs and cleans showers and restrooms including toilets and sinks.
• Replaces light bulbs and dusts or washes light fixtures and high areas using ladders and tools.
• Polishes wood and metal surfaces, fixtures, furniture, and equipment.
• Monitors supplies and equipment and notifies supervisor of shortages or maintenance issues.
• Moves and arranges furniture and equipment for cleaning tasks or events; may follow disinfectant standards, snow removal, and grounds maintenance as needed.
