Job summary

ABM Industries in Abilene, TX is seeking a reliable Janitorial Cleaner to perform cleaning duties across facilities, including sweeping, mopping, restroom sanitation, and waste management. This role offers day and night shifts with a pay rate of $16.00 per hour.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma (preferred), prior cleaning experience, and the ability to work independently. ABM provides a comprehensive benefits package and supports veterans and military experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous janitorial or cleaning experience is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment and safety standards.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing floors and surfaces.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenish supplies, and ensure hygiene standards are met.
• Empty trash and recycling bins and waste in accordance with company policies.
• Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to the supervisor.
• Assist with setup and cleanup for meetings, events, or special projects as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and company protocols related to cleaning and sanitation.
