Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Northeast Iowa, Inc. in Waterloo, IA is seeking a Temporary Janitor to join our facilities team. This role focuses on office care and general housekeeping to maintain a clean, safe environment.

You will sweep, vacuum, mop, dust, and restock supplies; ensure doors are secure and lights are off at day’s end; and uphold our IMPACT values in daily tasks. Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or participation in Goodwill programming.
• Must be able to lift, push, or pull fifty pounds with assistance.
• Reliable transportation. Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintains top-flight condition and appearance of all offices and common areas by focusing on housekeeping and safety at all times.
• Sweeps, vacuums, mops, scrubs, dusts, empties garbage, etc so that all areas are clean and sanitary.
• Ensures that all supplies and equipment for completing tasks are stocked and in working order.
• Keeps track of supplies and equipment in orderly fashion.
• Verifies that all facility doors are locked and lights are off before leaving for day.
• Completes all duties of the job and all work requirements.
