Job summary

RRC Solutions Group in Oskaloosa, Iowa is seeking a Capital Project Engineer to plan, support and execute capital project deliverables from design to startup. You will oversee construction management, documentation, and ensure engineering standards are applied across small to medium capital initiatives.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 2+ years in capital projects, and experience in chemical or food-related industries, including commissioning and start-up

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of relevant work experience in capital project engineering.
• Previous experience in chemical or food-related industries.
• Experience with commissioning and project start-ups.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of capital project scope, schedule and budget while following project management deliverables and best practices.
• Coordinate staffing and development of construction, commissioning and start-up plans.
• Lead equipment specification and procurement and develop, review and award bid packages for equipment and labor.
• Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
• Other duties as assigned
