Job summary

Solitude Mountain Resort in Utah is seeking a diligent Facilities Attendant to support daily operations and the upkeep of base and mountain facilities. You will clean public areas, perform routine maintenance tasks, and help ensure facilities meet guest expectations in all seasons.

The role requires flexibility to work weekends and holidays, the ability to tolerate varying weather, and reliable transportation to and from base areas.

Qualifications

• Sufficient communication skills to answer guest questions.
• Work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Desire and ability to tolerate varying weather conditions.
• Capable of stepping, climbing, kneeling, squatting, and reaching above shoulders as needed.
• Must meet satisfactory performance levels in all duties as assigned.
• Maintain a clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
• Have reliable transportation to get to work, with resort transport options.
• Some team members may require beginner ski-ride ability to commute to on-mountain locations.

Responsibilities

• Clean public facilities including lobby, corridors, elevators, stairways, and restrooms according to company standards and time frames.
• Continuously collect trash and debris, sweeping in winter months and ski/ride to facilities to perform duties.
• Communicate in a pleasant and respectful manner with fellow employees and guests.
• Notify Manager of incidents, accidents, injuries, and property damage as soon as it occurs.
• Transport trash and waste to designated disposal area.
• Stock, organize, and maintain guest supplies, sanitation and cleaning supplies, and other tools for the job.
• Use materials, chemicals, and tools safely to avoid injury, waste, or accidents.

POSITION:

Solitude is looking for a self-motivated, hardworking individual who loves the mountain scene. The Facilities Attendant is responsible for the day-to-day operations and upkeep of the mountain facilities. The ideal candidate will enjoy caretaking our facilities to ensure they are in tip-top shape for our guests. SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Sufficient communication skills to answer guest questions
• Work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Desire and ability to tolerate and work in varying weather conditions for extended periods of time including hot/cold temperatures, inclement weather, and moving between indoor and outdoor environments
• Capable of stepping, climbing, kneeling, squatting, and reaching above shoulders as needed.
• Must be able to meet and/or exceed satisfactory performance levels in all duties as assigned
• Maintain a clean driving record and valid driver’s license
• Have reliable transportation to get to work, Big Cottonwood Park & ride or participate in a resort sponsored carpooling/public transportation program.
• Some members of this team will require beginner ski-ride ability to commute to on-mountain locations.
