Main Purpose
The Facilities Attendant is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and well-functioning facility through daily facility maintenance and janitorial support. This position helps ensure a welcoming, hygienic, and operational environment for employees, visitors, and customers. This is a full-time position.
Major Responsibilities
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Perform routine facility maintenance and general building upkeep to ensure a safe, clean, and functional work environment.
- Assist with repairs and maintenance tasks, including unclogging toilets, replacing fixtures, installing and removing dispensers, patching drywall, touch-up painting, replacing ceiling tiles, and performing basic carpentry work.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and other equipment necessary to complete assigned maintenance tasks.
- Conduct routine inspections of facility conditions and report maintenance, safety, or repair concerns to the Supervisor or building engineers.
- Respond promptly to facility service requests and assist employees with building-related issues.
- Assist with office moves, furniture assembly, workstation setups, and facility improvement projects.
- Coordinate and support vendor visits, service appointments, and contractor access as required.
- Maintain inventory of maintenance, janitorial, and facility supplies and place orders as needed.
- Maintain direct communication with the Security Command Center regarding facility-related matters.
- Assist with the coordination and execution of facility improvement and maintenance projects.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, offices, break rooms, warehouse areas, and other common spaces. Including emptying trash and recycling receptacles throughout the facility and ensure proper waste disposal.
- Sweep, dust, mop, wipe, and vacuum floors, surfaces, and fixtures.
- Restock restroom supplies, break-room items, and janitorial supplies as needed.
- Perform routine cleaning and upkeep of facility entrances, common areas, conference rooms, and employee workspaces as needed
- Follow all company cleaning standards, safety procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of janitorial closets, storage areas, and maintenance workspaces.
- Respond to employee and departmental requests related to facilities and janitorial services.
- Maintain reliable phone availability during scheduled working hours.
- Complete ad hoc tasks as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications
- Prior maintenance (2 years +)
- Janitorial knowledge (1 year +)
- General Tool Knowledge
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Great communicational skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain a consistent work schedule
- Physically lift 20lbs, Stand, Bend, and move for extended period of time
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic facility maintenance experience, including minor repairs, troubleshooting, and general building upkeep preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees, vendors, contractors, and management
- Previous janitorial, custodial, facilities, or building maintenance experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization.
- Flexibility to work varying schedules, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively
- Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred.
Compensation
A reasonable estimate of the current base hourly range is $21.00 to $24.00.
A successful candidate works well in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision.
