Alarm.com is seeking a Facilities Associate in Tysons, VA to oversee daily operations, maintenance, and security of company facilities in an alarm and security systems environment.

You will support building systems, coordinate with vendors, ensure safety and compliance, and help with moves, setup, and documentation. The role is hands-on, reliable, and part of a collaborative team at Alarm.com.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or training in facilities, construction, electronics, or a related field is a plus
  • Some experience or demonstrated aptitude in facilities, maintenance, security systems, or related environments
  • Working knowledge of or interest in building systems, alarms, and physical security infrastructure
  • Ability to safely use hand tools and basic maintenance equipment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Reliable, proactive, and team‑oriented
  • Ability to lift up to 40–50 lbs and perform physical tasks
  • Basic computer skills, including email and work order or ticketing systems

Responsibilities

  • Support daily facilities operations, including inspections, preventative maintenance, and workspace setup
  • Assist with the maintenance and coordination of building systems such as alarms, access control, CCTV, and monitoring equipment (in partnership with vendors and internal teams)
  • Respond to facilities service requests and troubleshoot basic building issues (lighting, furniture, minor repairs)
  • Coordinate with external vendors for repairs, maintenance, and inspections
  • Assist with office moves, desk setups, and equipment relocations
  • Help ensure compliance with safety and security standards, including fire alarms, emergency equipment, and access badge systems
  • Maintain accurate documentation for maintenance activities, inspections, and service requests
  • Track inventory of facilities supplies, tools, and equipment
  • Support emergency or after‑hours facilities issues as needed
  • Maintain organized storage, workspaces, and facilities areas
  • Other duties as assigned

Job description

The Facilities Associate supports the daily operation, maintenance, and security of company facilities within an alarm and security systems environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring workspaces are safe, functional, and well-maintained while supporting building systems, physical security infrastructure, and vendor coordination. The ideal candidate is hands‑on, dependable, and eager to grow within facilities and operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support daily facilities operations, including inspections, preventative maintenance, and workspace setup
  • Assist with the maintenance and coordination of building systems such as alarms, access control, CCTV, and monitoring equipment (in partnership with vendors and internal teams)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with alarm systems, access control, CCTV, or low‑voltage systems
  • Familiarity with vendor coordination and service scheduling
  • OSHA or safety training (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong communication and customer‑service skills
  • Combination of office, warehouse, and light industrial settings
  • Occasional after‑hours or weekend support for emergencies or planned work
  • Physical activity including walking, standing, lifting, bending, and climbing

The base salary range of this opportunity is listed below and is determined within a range based on factors including qualifications, location and experience. This allows opportunity for growth and development within the role. The base salary offered is part of a total compensation package.
