Job summary

Stord is seeking a Facilities Associate to support the Facilities Manager and Operations team with preventive maintenance and repairs across our warehouse and distribution environment.

You’ll diagnose equipment, service case packers, conveyors, pumps, and air systems, read manuals, and follow safety procedures. The role emphasizes reliability, teamwork, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Understanding of safety procedures and teamwork.
• Ability to read and follow procedures and manuals.
• Experience with PMs and basic repairs is a plus.
• Willingness to operate maintenance equipment and vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Maintain production and facility equipment in proper working order.

This position requires a strong commitmentto safety, teamwork, and attention to detail. You will ensure that the facility operates smoothly andefficiently, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, functionality, and safety. This role is essential to theoverall operational success of our warehouse and distribution environment.What You’ll Do:Ensures the Maintenance Department supports the needs of production by keeping allproduction and facility equipment in proper working condition.Work with downstream/secondary packaging equipment (case packers, wrappers,palletizers, printers, conveyor systems, etc.)Perform diagnostic evaluation on electrical and mechanical equipment and make repairswhen needed.Strong assessment and troubleshooting skills (mechanical, electrical, and process) withdemonstrated and proven experience and background.Ability to read and comprehend procedures and manualsExperience with performing PMs and repairsStrong mechanical aptitude - Being able to take apart an engine, knowing all parts, whattheir purpose is, and how to put it back together with it working properlyBasic electrical knowledge - looking at a meter and being able to know if it is workingproperly, knowing if something is on or off.Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issuesBasic knowledge of equipment to include pump systems, plumbing, and air compressors.Ability to adherence to strict safety proceduresInteract with third party facility and maintenance vendorsSelf-managing/ self-starterWhat You’ll Need:High School DiplomaKnowledge of general warehouse expectations for safety and teamwork.Knowledge of basic hand and power tools. Safe and proper usage, right tool for the job.Understanding of LOTO, PPE and other maintenance related safety items.Aptitude and willingness to be certified to operate Ops related PIT.Aptitude and willingness to operate maintenance related equipment such as scissor lifts, and ability to work aloft (35-40' high).Good attention to detail and desire to perform tasks with an eye towards appearance of the finished product.Good customer service skills (internal customers, trouble calls etc).Other duties as assigned including working in operational rolesBonus Points:at least 1 year of maintenance experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.Additional certifications related to facility maintenance or equipment operation.Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.
