Job summary

Hop Shops, a division of Valor Oil, is seeking a Facilities Associate to keep the Hop Shop and surroundings tidy and operational in Florence, KY.

You will perform exterior grounds maintenance, pump and fuel station cleaning, interior sanitation of the store, and general inventory tasks. Immediate start with a morning schedule and pay of $15.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 50 pounds and carry heavy items.
• Stock shelves, coolers and displays and merchandise pulled forward.
• Tolerance to gasoline fumes and cleaning products.
• Sweep, mop floors, dust shelves, and manage trash containers.
• Work in a cooler at 36°F for up to 30 minutes.

Responsibilities

• Exterior Grounds Maintenance: Maintain a clean curb appeal by cleaning parking lots, pressure washing pump pads and sidewalks, and landscaping tasks like weeding and mulching.
• Safety & Environmental Compliance: Ensure a safe environment by promptly identifying and treating fuel/oil spills with absorbents and maintaining sanitary exterior equipment.
• Fuel Station & Pump Care: Clean fuel pumps and nozzles with degreasers and replenish customer amenities.
• Interior Facility Sanitation: Deep clean restrooms, sanitize cooler doors/windows, and keep back room organized.
• Inventory & General Operations: Bag ice, stock fountain drinks, manage waste, and provide general housekeeping support.

Hop Shops, a division of Valor Oil, is looking for a Facilities Associate to ensure that the Hop Shop and grounds stay tidy and operational.

Pay: $15.00 hourly

Schedule: Morning schedule

Location: Florence, KY

Start date: Immediate

Responsibilities:

Exterior Grounds Maintenance: Maintain a clean and professional curb appeal by cleaning parking lots, pressure washing pump pads and sidewalks, and performing landscaping tasks like weeding and mulching.

Safety & Environmental Compliance: Ensure a safe environment for customers by promptly identifying and treating fuel or oil spills with absorbent materials and maintaining high sanitation standards for all exterior equipment.

Fuel Station & Pump Care: Execute specialized cleaning of fuel pumps and nozzles using degreasers, while managing the consistent replenishment of customer amenities like windshield washer fluid and paper towels.

Interior Facility Sanitation: Uphold strict cleanliness standards for the store interior, including deep cleaning restrooms, sanitizing cooler doors and windows, and keeping the back room organized for efficient operations.

Inventory & General Operations: Support daily store needs by bagging ice, maintaining fountain drink supplies, managing waste removal, and providing general administrative or housekeeping support as needed.

Requirements

• The ability to lift 50 pounds, carrying cases of milk, soft drinks, beer, etc, at least once per shift.
• The ability to stock shelves, coolers and displays and merchandise pulled forward at all times.
• The ability to tolerate exposure to gasoline fumes and cleaning products.
• The ability to sweep and mop floors, dust shelves, to lift and carry out trash containers and place them in an outside bin.
• The ability to enter and work in a cooler at a temperature of 36 degrees for up to 30 minutes at a time.
