Job summary

Lutheran Services in Milton, Australia, is seeking a Facilities & Asset Manager to lead capital works and refurbishment across 20+ sites, ensuring safe, accessible environments for residents and staff. The role balances project delivery, maintenance oversight and cross-functional collaboration.

You will manage unit refurbishments, liaise with consultants, and drive health, safety and regulatory compliance within a not-for-profit aged care and community services context.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Project Management, Facilities Management, Construction Management or equivalent experience
• Proven experience in capital works or asset management on projects from maintenance to larger capital works
• Unit and apartment refurbishment experience is highly regarded
• Strong knowledge of trades and services (electrical, plumbing, fire safety)
• Working with external consultants to ensure compliant project delivery
• Experience across multiple sites concurrently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and project reporting skills
• Proficiency in IT systems and related software
• Current White Card and unrestricted QLD Driver’s Licence
• Ability to maintain a satisfactory National Police Check

Responsibilities

• Drive capital works and refurbishment projects of all sizes across aged care, retirement, and community services sites
• Deliver unit and apartment refurbishments of various sizes and work with retirement living frameworks for delivery
• Deliver maintenance related projects and work with consultants to resolve complex issues
• Contribute to preventative maintenance programs that keep environments safe and efficient
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and building regulations
• Collaborate with stakeholders, contractors and consultants to deliver projects on time and within budget
• Provide clear reporting and insights to senior leadership on the best approach to each project
• Advise on new acquisitions and live project environments
