Job summary

DTE Energy, a major energy provider in Michigan, is seeking an analyst to support programs and answer questions while disseminating information. The role emphasizes collaboration with executives and external stakeholders to help shape programs and services.

Responsibilities include problem assessment, preparing recommendations, and drafting internal documents. The ideal candidate has strong PC skills, customer service experience, and familiarity with contracts and real estate matters.

Qualifications

• Requires working knowledge of PC applications (spreadsheets, graphics, databases).
• Customer service experience and complaint resolution skills.
• Expert knowledge of real estate/rights of way and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Identify problems from symptoms and context, research to form recommendations.
• Communicate facts with directors, supervisors, and employees outside the unit.
• Engage with consultants, industry groups, and public relations to inform stakeholders.
• Attend meetings, prepare documentation, and draft contracts and letters daily.
• Plan own work with budget considerations and manage conflicting priorities.

Key Accountabilities

• This job requires occasional leading of meetings or facilitating of group discussions. This job requires weekly preparation of computer/systems documentation, internal memoranda, and letters. Additionally, this job requires daily preparation of contracts and form letters.
• This job requires planning work for itself only. It identifies requirements as an input to budget development and obtains supervisory approval for use of funds. The work flow is organized in such a manner that frequently multiple tasks must be handled at one time; conflicting priorities are reviewed with the supervisor and shifted to meet deadlines.

• This job requires a working knowledge of real estate. Additionally, this job requires an advanced knowledge of contracts.
• The typical formal education level required to do this job is high school or equivalent. The preferred formal education level is a technical diploma or Associate's degree. The minimum prior job-related experience necessary to do this job is five years, but less than seven years.
