Job summary

THG Fluently is expanding its NHS interpreting services into Cheshire and Merseyside, seeking experienced Community Interpreters to join our growing network. We welcome interpreters based in or near Cheshire and Merseyside who can support NHS patients and healthcare professionals.

Assignments include face-to-face NHS and healthcare locations, telephone and video interpreting, with both pre-booked and on-demand options.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in community, healthcare or public-service interpreting.
• A recognised interpreting qualification and/or relevant professional experience.
• Excellent spoken English and fluency in your other working language(s).

THG Fluently is expanding its NHS interpreting services into Cheshire and Merseyside, and we are looking for experienced Community Interpreters to join our growing network. We are particularly interested in hearing from interpreters who are based in or within travelling distance of Cheshire and Merseyside and are available to support NHS patients and healthcare professionals.

Assignments are expected to include a mixture of:

• Face-to-face interpreting at NHS and healthcare locations across Cheshire and Merseyside
• Telephone interpreting
• Video interpreting
• Both pre-booked and on-demand assignments, depending on service requirements

We welcome applications across a wide range of languages, particularly those commonly required within UK health and community settings.

What we're looking for

• Ideally, you will have:
• Previous experience in community, healthcare or public-service interpreting
• A recognised interpreting qualification and/or relevant professional experience
• Excellent spoken English and fluency in your other working language(s)
• A professional, reliable and confidential approach
• The ability to work sensitively with patients and healthcare professionals
• Availability for onsite assignments within Cheshire and/or Merseyside, where applicable
• Relevant interpreting qualifications, professional memberships and a current DBS certificate are advantageous.
