Job summary

Kovach is seeking a senior structural engineer to design bespoke aluminum façade systems, perform load-path calculations, and model behavior with FEM tools. You will develop submittal-ready calculations and coordinate with PMs, drafters, and fabricators to ensure constructability and compliance with codes.

The role requires 5+ years in commercial façade projects, strong materials knowledge, and proficiency in MathCAD and Excel for analysis and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in structural engineering or equivalent required.
• 5+ years of experience in structural engineering for commercial, specialty, and façade projects.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, materials, and fenestration industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering analysis and design of aluminum framing systems, sunshades, and related components.
• Develop load paths and perform calculations in compliance with codes and client specs.
• Conduct FEM, MathCAD, and Excel-based analysis for façade systems.
• Prepare engineering calculation packets for submittals and coordinate with teams.
• Collaborate with project managers, drafters, and fabricators to ensure quality and constructability.
