The Walt Disney Company is hosting a full-time Area Mechanic – Kitchen Tech position at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando. Candidates will interview on site during the Hiring Event and may be hired on the spot.

Responsibilities include maintaining kitchen equipment, plumbing and HVAC systems; ability to work from elevated platforms; valid Florida driver's license; 4 years of in-field experience; strong communication skills and proficiency with standard office software.

Area Mechanic Kitchen Tech

The Area Mechanic – Kitchen Tech is more than just someone that knows the way around a kitchen. They troubleshoot, perform maintenance and/or operational procedures in all phases of plumbing, HVAC, kitchen equipment, refrigeration work. Among many tasks, the Area Mechanic – Kitchen Tech must be able to repair soda and beer drink systems, repair commercial kitchen equipment, and know all about the plumbing trade. The field service position may include work from elevated platforms and confined spaces throughout the Walt Disney World Parks and Resort property.

Basic Qualifications

• 4 years of relative in-field professional experience
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Valid FL Driver's license
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
• Proficiency in standard office software programs and mobile electronic devices
• Ability to work from elevated platforms and confined spaces
