Job summary

Modern Machining Solutions Inc. in Harlan, Iowa, is seeking a Fabricator – Machine Operator to set up, adjust, and operate fabrication equipment to produce metal components per blueprints and work orders.

You will maintain safety, quality, and accurate production records while reading drawings and ensuring conformance to specifications. Previous welding is a plus; high school diploma or experience is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or 1-2 years of experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Basic math skills including dimensions, quantities, metric conversions, algebra, and geometry.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, diligence, and time management skills.
• Welding experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate fabrication equipment, including press brakes, rollers, punch presses, sanders, drills, grinders, shears, saws, and other fabrication machinery.
• Utilize measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, rules, squares, angle gages, and height gages.
• Practice the highest degree of safety when performing essential duties of this position.
• Read and interpret parts drawings, process routings, and production requirement information.

Job Summary of the Fabricator – Machine Operator: The Fabricator Machine Operator will set up, adjust, and operate fabrication equipment to produce metal components according to blueprints, specifications, and work orders. This role is responsible for maintaining safe operations, quality standards, and accurate production records.
