Job summary

Responsibilities

• Perform basic sheet metal fabrication tasks in support of production.
• Read and interpret shop documentation and job travelers independently.
• Read and work from technical drawings with guidance.
• Operate fabrication equipment safely with limited supervision.
• Assist in constructing basic sign types according to specifications.
• Utilize MIG welding for light aluminum fabrication.
• Fabricate simple plastic parts with assistance as required.
• Assist with installation of ACM onto structures.
• Support accurate material tracking and transactions within the MES system with guidance.
• Inspect work to ensure it meets quality and production standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in alignment with 5S standards.

The Fabricator – Class C is a developing production team member responsible for supporting fabrication activities while building foundational skills in signage manufacturing. This role demonstrates a basic understanding of fabrication techniques, safety practices, and technical documentation, while performing tasks with limited supervision and guidance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follow all safety procedures and maintain awareness of workplace hazards
• Perform basic sheet metal fabrication tasks in support of production
• Read and interpret shop documentation and job travelers independently
• Read and work from technical drawings with guidance
• Operate fabrication equipment safely with limited supervision
• Assist in constructing basic sign types according to specifications
• Utilize MIG welding for light aluminum fabrication
• Fabricate simple plastic parts with assistance as required
• Assist with installation of ACM (Aluminum Composite Material) onto structures
• Support accurate material tracking and transactions within the MES system with guidance
• Inspect work to ensure it meets quality and production standards
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in alignment with 5S standards
