SUMMARY
  • Responsible for the safe set‑up, operation, and cleaning of a Spin Weld machine to produce a quality product according to quality control standards and product specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Must work safely and maintain a safe, clean work environment, and perform available work as required by the supervisor.
  • Must follow all safety JSAs, LOTO, policies, OPLs, and procedures.
  • Must be able to safely inspect equipment prior to use, make simple adjustments, and shut down the spin weld machine and fabrication saw as required by the daily schedule.
  • Must be able to read, operate, and understand all controls and warning devices along with cutting riser pipe and spin welding caps and fittings on riser pipe.
  • Must keep piece count and perform detailed and accurate record‑keeping on the computer system or on paper as required.
  • Must be able to regularly perform quality checks such as impact testing, pressure testing, length of pipe testing, and perform other quality control set standards and specifications.
  • Must be able to clear out plastic from the end of pipe after it is cut, ensure pipe is free from chips and cracks.
  • Must inspect pipe before and after spin weld process is performed and check piece before adding it to finished inventory.
  • Must keep count and package finished pipe according to instructions.
  • All other duties as assigned by management.

EDUCATIONAL AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
OTHER ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Attendance is an essential function of the job.
  • Must be able to perform repetitive movements through shift.
  • Must be able to read, write, and understand and use a calculator, micrometer and O.D. tape.
  • This job requires frequent lifting and/or carrying of 0‑50 lbs. as well as standing or walking most of each work shift. Also requires frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching, and handling.
  • Must be able to work in the very hot conditions in summer and cold conditions in winter.
  • Must be able to wear safety glasses, hearing protection, a bump cap, and safety shoes.

Hourly Wage $22.73‑29.16 per hour
