• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
• Proficiency with MIG welding and common fabrication equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Responsabilidades

• Fabricate, weld, assemble, modify, and repair metal components, fixtures, and equipment.
• Build custom carts, tables, guards, racks, tooling, and production support equipment from drawings and specifications.
• Perform cutting, drilling, forming, grinding, fitting, and finishing operations.
• Assist with manufacturing equipment installation, relocation, and improvement projects.
• Support engineering initiatives, prototype development, and process improvement activities.
• Work closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Toolroom, and Operations teams.
• Maintain safe work practices and proper use of PPE.
• Participate in 5S, continuous improvement, and workplace organization initiatives.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and equipment.

Description

Position Summary

The Fabrication & Welding Technician is responsible for welding, metal fabrication, assembly, and repair activities supporting manufacturing operations and engineering projects. This position builds and modifies equipment, fixtures, prototypes, and production support tools while assisting with process improvements, equipment installations, and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Fabricate, weld, assemble, modify, and repair metal components, fixtures, and equipment.
• Build custom carts, tables, guards, racks, tooling, and production support equipment from drawings and specifications.
• Perform cutting, drilling, forming, grinding, fitting, and finishing operations.
• Assist with manufacturing equipment installation, relocation, and improvement projects.
• Support engineering initiatives, prototype development, and process improvement activities.
• Work closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Toolroom, and Operations teams.

Physical Demands

Work Environment

Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, welding fumes, moving machinery, and varying temperatures. Appropriate PPE is required.
