JGM is hiring Fabrication Welders at our Coatesville, PA shop to weld structural steel for data centers, stadiums, and industrial projects. Join a safety-first team with apprenticeship and leadership paths to grow your career.

You will weld with FCAW, GMAW/MIG, SAW, SMAW per AWS D1.1, read weld symbols, and work around overhead cranes while maintaining compliance with AISC, AWS, and OSHA standards. Competitive hourly pay with overtime opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Interpret weld symbols, WPSs, and shop drawings.
• Perform weld prep, grinding, gouging, and cleanup as required.
• Work safely with overhead cranes, fixtures, and heavy plate assemblies.
• Maintain compliance with AISC, AWS, and OSHA safety standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.

Position Overview

You'll work in our growing 65,000 SF AISC Advanced Certified fabrication shop in Coatesville.

Responsibilities

• Weld structural steel components using FCAW, GMAW/MIG, SAW, and SMAW in accordance with AWS D1.1


• Interpret weld symbols, WPSs, and shop drawings


• Perform weld prep, grinding, gouging, and cleanup as required


• Work safely with overhead cranes, fixtures, and heavy plate assemblies


• Maintain compliance with AISC, AWS, and OSHA safety standards


• Support continuous improvement initiatives

Schedule

• Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM–3:30 PM
  


• Due to strong demand right now, the shop runs 5:00 AM–5:30 PM every other week — extra hours mean extra pay
  


• Saturday shifts available if you want to pick up additional overtime — completely optional


• Pay: $22–$34/hour, based on experience and certifications

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of structural steel welding experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Current or prior AWS D1.1 welding certification
  


• AISC fabrication shop experience

• Maintain regular mental and visual attention with manual coordination
