Job summary

TIME Manufacturing Company, Bethlehem, PA, is seeking a Fabrication Technician to produce, assemble, and modify metal per engineering specs. You will read blueprints, use hand and power tools, and operate fabrication equipment to ensure high-quality output.

The role requires hands-on fabrication experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to interpret drawings while maintaining safety and production records. Domestic travel within the service area is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training a plus.
• Technical ASE/ EVT or hydraulic systems certification is favorable.
• 1–3 years experience with aerial lifts, hydraulic systems, or heavy equipment.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and technical drawings to plan fabrication work.
• Fabricate, assemble, and install components using tools and machinery.
• Operate saws, drill presses, grinders, and welding equipment as needed.
• Measure, cut, and shape materials to precise specifications.
• Inspect finished products and maintain production records.
• Perform routine maintenance on fabrication equipment; follow safety procedures.

Job Summary

Our machines support the critical work of electric utilities, telecom, tree care, and infrastructure inspection crews every day.

The Fabrication Technician is responsible for producing, assembling, and modifying metal according to engineering specifications and production requirements. This role requires hands-on experience with fabrication tools and equipment, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret technical drawings to ensure high-quality output.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Fabricate, assemble, and install components using hand tools, power tools, and machinery
• Operate equipment such as saws, drill presses, grinders, and welding machines (as applicable)
• Measure, cut, and shape materials to precise specifications
• Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and tolerances
• Perform routine maintenance on fabrication equipment
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve fabrication issuesDocument work performed and maintain accurate production records

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical certification (ASE, EVT, or hydraulic systems) or vocational training in a related field is a plus.
• 1-3 years working with aerial lifts, bucket trucks, hydraulic systems, or heavy equipment (e.g., utility trucks, forestry equipment, or construction machinery)
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
• Strong diagnostic abilities across hydraulics, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Knowledge of Versalift equipment or similar aerial lift products is a plus.
• Comfortable working solo in the field, managing time and service priorities.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel within the designated service area
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with welding (MIG, TIG, or Stick)
• Familiarity with Press Brakes and Shears
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing or shop environment
