Job summary

Skyworks Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Fabrication Technician to support wafer fabrication processes for semiconductor devices. You will operate equipment for alignment, masking, etch and diffusion, and participate in setup and calibration for higher-skilled levels.

The role requires adherence to cleanroom protocols, accurate data collection, and documentation. Shift patterns and long PPE usage are part of the job, with emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
• Basic mathematical computations and writing tasks.
• Effective communication, include speaking, writing, active listening and taking instruction.
• Dexterity and good hand-eye coordination, with the ability to manipulate components of various sizes.
• Ability to understand directions and adhere to established procedures.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and to perform repetitive tasks.
• Lifts, handles, and reaches to use tools such as pliers, large tweezers, hand-held scanners, etc.
• Basic computer knowledge and skills including MS Office Suite Direct experience and knowledge of overall Wafer FAB operational proficiency (process, tools, flows).
• Dependable team player.

Responsibilities

• Performs wafer fabrication by following work instruction and documented procedures.
• Operate equipment to perform various stages of the wafer fabrication process.
• Perform measurements and analysis of critical parameters and record data.
• Adhere to clean room protocol and work practices, including wearing PPE for long periods of time.
• Maintain proper documentation and records.
• Move materials or finished good from one location to another; may involve pushing, pulling, or lifting (up to 20 pounds) or bending.
• Visually inspect and recognize quality defects.
• Handle fragile GaAs wafers and precious metals, such as gold and platinum.
• Mix wet chemistries, some of which are hazardous.
• Collect and log data into computer-based applications.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD$17.69 -$30.38 per hour. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
