Job Summary

This position is responsible for operating CNC machines to cut, fabricate, and manufacture metal parts and subassemblies, including material handling, loading/unloading, and data entry into computer systems.

YOUR IMPACT

These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive, and other duties may be assigned:

  • Move and position materials for machine operations.
  • Cut, bend, and shape metal as part of pre-assembly.
  • Operate machines individually or as part of a team.
  • Train on and run various machines, including punch press, press brake, plasma and laser cutters, shear, roller, band saw, overhead crane, robot work cell, and CNC machining center/lathe.
  • Accurately use and read measuring tools.
  • Operate overhead cranes to move or stack parts.
  • Cross-train and work in multiple production areas as needed.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
  • Maintain attention to detail to ensure quality standards.
  • Keep work area clean and safe in compliance with safety and 6S procedures.
  • Maintain regular attendance.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Previous experience with machine operating within a manufacturing or general labor industry.
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet business and production demands.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance, in-person and on-site.
Standout Qualifications
  • 1+ year(s) of machine operating experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Basic understanding of machine programs.
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • This position is based in a manufacturing or production environment and may involve exposure to loud noise, dust, moving machinery, or temperature fluctuations.
  • The role may require standing for extended periods, repetitive motions, lifting/carrying up to 35 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds and up to 30 pounds sustained, bending, kneeling, climbing, or using tools and equipment.
  • Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn when required.
  • Visual and auditory acuity are needed for safe equipment operation and effective communication in a busy workspace.
