Job summary

Panelmatic, Inc. seeks an experienced Fabrication Supervisor to oversee daily operations in the fabrication department. You will mentor fabricators, enforce safety standards, and ensure timely completion of production while maintaining quality and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has hands-on metal fabrication experience and proven leadership in a manufacturing setting, with a focus on continuous improvement and adherence to blueprints and QA procedures.

Qualifications

  • Three plus years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or industrial fabrication setting.
  • Advanced knowledge of fabrication processes, tools, and machinery.
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance procedures (QAPs).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, train, and mentor a team of fabricators, ensuring compliance with safety standards and production goals.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
  • Assign tasks based on skill sets and project requirements, balancing workload among team members.
  • Coordinate with project managers and other departments to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Monitor production schedules and adjust staffing or resources to prevent delays.
  • Oversee the setup and operation of fabricating machines.
  • Ensure all products meet dimensional and quality requirements as per blueprints and schematics.
  • Review and approve final inspections before delivery.
  • Identify and resolve fabrication issues, minimizing downtime and waste.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and product quality.
  • Maintain accurate records of production activities, equipment maintenance, and team performance.
  • Report key performance indicators (KPIs), including productivity and material usage.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

  • Ability to convert decimals to fractions and utilize conversion charts required

  • Excellent manual dexterity required

  • Excellent color vision and eyesight required
