Job summary

Ovivo in Round Rock, TX is seeking a skilled Fabrication Operator to join our shop team. You will fabricate, assemble, and weld components per drawings, read blueprints, and handle material with forklifts and cranes in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates should have at least 2 years of fabrication experience, strong welding skills (MIG/TIG/Stick), and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. A non-climate-controlled facility and safety-focused culture are part of the role.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of fabrication or manufacturing experience.
  • Demonstrated welding experience (MIG, TIG, and/or Stick) and reading blueprints/drawings.
  • Experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes.
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety and material handling practices.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work on shift.

Responsibilities

  • Perform fabrication operations per engineering drawings and production schedules.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work instructions.
  • Fit and assemble fabrications to required tolerances.
  • Operate saws and cutting equipment to prepare materials.
  • Weld as required (MIG, TIG, and/or Stick).
  • Assemble products and subassemblies accurately and efficiently.
  • Inspect finished work to meet quality standards.
  • Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move materials.
  • Maintain a clean, organized 5S work area and assist with inventory.
  • Report issues to foreman/quality inspector; perform other duties as assigned.

The role is based at our shop located in Round Rock, Texas. You must be willing to work in a non-climate-controlled facility.

What is the role?
  • Perform fabrication operations according to engineering drawings and production schedules
  • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work instructions
  • Fit and assemble fabricated components to required specifications and tolerances
  • Operate saws and cutting equipment to prepare materials for fabrication
  • Perform MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding as required
  • Assemble fabricated products and subassemblies accurately and efficiently.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met
  • Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move materials and finished products
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S and safety standards
  • Assist with inventory management and material handling activities within the warehouse
  • Report equipment issues, quality concerns, and safety hazards to shop foreman and/or quality inspector
  • Other duties as assigned

This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting in a manufacturing environment. Candidates must be comfortable working around industrial noise, welding fumes, and moving equipment, while adhering to established safety protocols. The ability to safely operate powered industrial vehicles and overhead lifting equipment is required.
