FABRICATION MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR 3RD SHIFT
- Support installing, servicing, and repairing mechanical equipment. Support activities related to the maintenance, repair, and service of plant equipment, buildings, and facilities.
- Plan, organize, and direct manufacturing and maintenance operations to ensure the most effective return on assets.
- Initiate plans and processes to minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital.
- Utilize working knowledge of electrical systems, both control and industrial wiring, pipe fitting, plumbing, welding, shop machinery, sheet metal, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical controls, and instrumentation to maintain plant equipment at optimal levels.
- Use knowledge of automatic equipment operation, including setup, repair, and teardown, to maintain plant equipment at optimal levels, inspecting completed work for conformance to blueprints, specifications, and standards.
- Maintain the plant's Preventative Maintenance Records.
- Send out maintenance schedules on a weekly basis.
- Responsible for all physical plant facilities, systems, and equipment.
- Identify and monitor issues as they arise and implement solutions.
- Participate in the ongoing support of the Processing Operating System.
- Ensure safety compliance for buildings, equipment, and staff.
- Interpret and enforce company policies and practices.
- Analyze and resolve work problems or assist in solving work problems.
- Maintain production equipment to meet organizational standards and ensure minimum equipment downtime. Requisition tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of JBS GI policies and procedures.
Experience Required:
- Minimum 5 years maintenance experience, preferably in a food processing plant, but experience in a highly regulated large industrial or manufacturing environment will be considered.
- Extensive experience maintaining and managing building services/systems using contractors and staff.
- Experience with quality improvement and risk management processes is an asset.
- High School Diploma/GED required; college degree preferred.
Skills/Abilities Required:
- Working knowledge of preventative maintenance, powerhouse, facilities, equipment, machinery, refrigeration, pipe fitting, plumbing, welding, ship machinery, sheet metal, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical controls, instrumentation, and PLC controls in a lean manufacturing environment.
- Proven knowledge of building and fire codes, health and safety standards.
- Proven leadership and people management skills in a high-paced, multicultural environment.
- A self-motivated and results-oriented team player with strong people skills.
