Job summary

TAS Energy Inc. is seeking a Fabrication Lead to direct the fabrication and assembly of pipe products in our Missouri facility. You will manage all related work orders, supervise the fabrication team, and ensure timely, safe, and quality production.

The role requires strong leadership, blueprint-reading skills, and at least two years of pipe fabrication experience, with a focus on continuous improvement and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Two years of pipe or structural fabrication experience.
  • Ability to read blueprints and follow product specification instructions.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills to manage a fabrication team.
  • Capable of planning resources based on work orders and production plan.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate pipes to required customizations.
  • Manage all Work Orders associated with fabrication.
  • Supervise work team in planning and execution of fabrication activities.

  • Track, assign, and monitor work orders.
  • Ensure timeliness, safety and quality of material movement.
  • Maintain safe work practices and a safe work environment; ensure crews follow safe practices and HSE programs, including Lock-out Tag-out.
  • Train employees on changes in safety regulations, work policies, and standards.
  • Develop the skills and abilities of team members.
  • Ensure all department employees complete required training.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by TAS

Overview

The Fabrication Lead directs the fabrication and assembly of pipe products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fabricate pipes to required customizations
  • Manage all Work Orders associated with fabrication
  • Supervises work team in the planning and execution of fabrication activities
  • Plan resource requirements based on Work Orders and production plan
  • Foster a spirit of teamwork within the department
  • Track, assign, and monitor work orders
  • Ensure timeliness, safety and quality of material movement
  • Maintain safe work practices and a safe work environment; ensure crews follow safe practices and HSE programs, including Lock-out Tag-out
  • In conjunction with the Production Supervisor and EHS Manager, train employees on changes in safety regulations, work policies, and standards
  • Develop the skills and abilities of team members
  • Ensure all department employees complete required training
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by TAS

Minimum Requirements
  • Two years of pipe or structural fabrication experience
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
  • Work performed in a non-climate-controlled shop environment
  • Exposure to hot and cold temperatures, with conditions not to an extent of being disagreeable
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods; up to 10 hours per day, up to 6 days per week with lunch break
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, twist, reach (forward and overhead), and maintain balance
  • Occasional sitting, kneeling, crouching, and crawling may be required
  • Frequent bending at the waist and twisting movements
  • Frequent lifting of materials up to 50 pounds (floor to shoulder, and waist to shoulder)
  • Occasional carrying, pushing, and pulling of up to 50 pounds over short distances
  • Frequent use of hands for handling, grasping, and coordination tasks
  • Normal vision and hand-eye coordination; color vision not specified
  • Hearing ability is required; earplugs may be recommended
  • Climbing ladders may be required frequently; climbing stairs occasionally
  • Proper PPE, including steel-toe boots, safety glasses, and TAS provided hard hat
