Job summary

Apache Workforce in Houston is seeking Fabrication Helpers to support manufacturing and fabrication operations in the Houston area. The role assists Fitters, Welders, and other production team members with material preparation, assembly, shop activities, and general fabrication tasks.

The ideal candidate has some experience in manufacturing, fabrication, construction, or industrial environments and is comfortable using tools and materials.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of fabrication or related industrial experience.
• Ability to read a tape measure and use basic measuring tools.
• Familiarity with basic fabrication tools and equipment.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Review work assignments and gather tools and materials needed for production.
• Assist Fitters, Welders, and supervisors with fabrication activities.
• Clean, measure, organize, and stage materials for production.
• Assist with preparing and positioning materials and fabricated components.
• Use basic hand and power tools as directed.
• Assist with tack welding when trained and authorized.
• Follow blueprints, work instructions, and production procedures as applicable.
• Assist with basic tool and equipment inspections.
• Help move and position materials using appropriate equipment and procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow established safety and housekeeping procedures.
• Participate in safety meetings and job-related training.
• Report equipment concerns or unsafe conditions to supervision.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
