Job summary

Olympic Steel, Inc. is seeking an Estimator to forecast project costs, including raw materials, labor, equipment, and transportation, for production orders. You will assemble cost data, estimate full production costs (BOM), and work with customers and the fabrication team to ensure timely delivery.

Some CNC programming support may be required. Ideal candidates have a degree or commensurate experience and 2+ years in fabrication estimation; machining or welding background is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or technical degree and/or commensurate experience.
• 2+ years of experience in fabrication manufacturing and estimation.
• Prior machining or welding experience is a huge plus.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Forecast project costs considering raw materials, labor, equipment, tools, and transportation.
• Estimate all production costs according to order specifications (BOM).
• Collaborate with customers and internal fabrication team to ensure on-time delivery.
• Assist with CNC machining programming as needed.
