Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Production Assembler in Knoxville to read specifications, plan operations, and assemble metal products. You will set up and operate fabricating machines, measure accuracy with tools, and assist in maintaining equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent reading, math and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to use and read a tape measure.
• Ability to read assembly manuals, directions and diagrams.
• Ability to read tape measures, blueprints, drawings and technical plans.
• Follow detailed instructions and perform accurate work quickly.
• Use power or hand tools to cut, shim, and modify.
• Good eyesight and manual dexterity for small parts.

Responsibilities

• Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Develops layout and plans sequence of operations for fabrication and assembly.
• Determines tools and equipment needed; sets up and operates fabricating machines.
• Operates machine tools and sets stops or guides to specified length.
• Measures work piece dimensions to ensure accuracy and conformance to specs.
• Performs minor machine maintenance and assists operators.
• Conducts tests and inspections to evaluate quality and performance.
