Job summary

Lasting Change Inc is seeking a Fabric Data Engineer to join the data platform team. You will build reliable data pipelines, manage Delta Lake in a Medallion Architecture, and deliver analytics-ready data products that drive business insights across the organization.

The role emphasizes AI-assisted development, governance, data quality, and close collaboration with analysts and stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions and measurable impact.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional data engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms; Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, Data Factory, or Databricks.
• Strong understanding of data lakes, data warehouses, and lakehouse architectures.
• Experience with Medallion Architecture design and implementation.
• Proficiency in Python, PySpark, Spark SQL, Delta Lake, and T-SQL.
• Experience in data modeling to support analytics and reporting.
• Demonstrated use of AI tools to enhance development velocity, code quality, and documentation.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to varied audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage ETL/ELT workflows within Microsoft Fabric.
• Build and maintain Delta Lake solutions within a Medallion Architecture framework.
• Integrate data from multiple internal and external systems using cloud-native services.
• Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot issues, and resolve bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with analysts to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Develop analytical and dimensional data models optimized for reporting and self-service analytics.
• Build and maintain Power BI semantic models, reports, and dashboards as needed.
• Ensure datasets are well-documented, discoverable, and reliable for downstream use.
• Contribute to and adhere to data governance, documentation, and coding standards.
