Job summary

HM Richards, Inc. in Guntown, MS is seeking a focused fabric cutter to operate on an assembly line cutting covers for sofas, chairs, loveseats or ottomans.

You will follow a daily cutting schedule, locate patterns, prepare the cut, dust lines with chalk, and verify width and quality before handing off to bundlers. This role requires accuracy and the ability to work quickly in a production setting.

Qualifications

• Knowledge about assembly line type environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to submit to a Drug test and background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Obtains daily work schedule from Cutting Supervisor and follows daily activities.
• Locate required pattern for each cut and prepare cutting setup with a partner.
• Obtain cover and place on rack; spread on cutting table per schedule.
• Dust pattern with blue chalk to mark lines and cut fabric to pattern width.
• Measure cover width with tape to ensure correct width and flag issues if needed.
• Leave cut cover on table for bundlers to collect and distribute.
• Perform other duties as required by the supervisor.
