Job summary

G-III Apparel Group's DKNY Sportswear division in New York City seeks a Product Development Manager to bridge Design, Production, Vendors, and Sales. You will ensure sample yardage development aligns with cost targets, timelines, and brand material needs, with a strong focus on garment construction and fabric sourcing.

You will own fabric sample yardage, DS management, and data sheets, coordinating fabric cards and seasonal color palettes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in apparel product development.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Knowledge of garment construction.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate fabric sample yardage development with design, production, and vendors.
• Manage fabric and color inquiries and seasonal color palettes.
• Liaise with suppliers and overseas offices on material details and approvals.
• Collaborate with design to populate seasonal fabric cards for boards.
• Distribute confirmed color palettes to internal teams and external supply chains.
• Review sample yardage against color standards and request lab-dips if needed.
• Work with VP of Fabric to ensure appropriate fabrics for the season.
• Review season-end invoices related to sample yardage.
• Maintain PD organization files and color palette distribution logs.
