Micron Technology Inc. is seeking a Fab TIQ Equipment Engineer specializing in abatement and vacuum systems in Boise, ID.

You will support equipment install, de-install, safety testing, and coordination for pump/abatement/vacuum equipment while partnering with tool owners and stakeholders to drive equipment release readiness. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering; equivalent military experience; or an AAS accompanied by over 2 years of industry experience.
  • Over 2 years of experience in semiconductor equipment setup, removal, facilities coordination, safety testing, or preparing equipment for use.
  • Demonstrated understanding of systems integration, utility connectivity and operational readiness across the equipment lifecycle.
  • Experience coordinating equipment installs, de-installs, tool moves, safety release activities, interlock testing, and preparation for construction achievement readiness.

Responsibilities

  • Support pump and abatement vacuum systems, heat trace applications and facilities utility interface for equipment install, de-install, and safety testing.
  • Partner closely with tool owners, facilities, trades, movers, suppliers, field service engineers, and pump, abatement, chillers (PAC) collaborators to drive equipment release readiness.
  • Build and maintain safety testing schedules aligned to construction achievements and project readiness dates.
  • Plan and coordinate equipment installs and de-installs, including isolation, disconnect, removal, relocation, disposition, and facility handoffs.
  • Validate safety testing conditions, pinpoint readiness shortfalls, manage interlock testing, and lead resolution with representatives from various functions.

As a Fab Support Tool Installation Qualification (TIQ) Equipment Engineer specializing in abatement and vacuum systems, you will help ensure our equipment operates reliably and safely. You will support equipment install, de-install, safety testing, and release coordination for pump/abatement/vacuum equipment while partnering closely with tool owners and stakeholders to drive equipment release readiness. Minimum Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with Equipment Facilitation Forms (EFF), Tool Move Qualification (TMQ) process, PAC turnover documentation, and site safety release requirements.
  • Ability to efficiently organize multi-functional teams to complete projects and solve an array of equipment problems.
  • Strong problem-solving, schedule management, collaborator coordination, and documentation control skills.
  • AI proficiency or experience using AI-enabled ways of working where applicable to improve efficiency, documentation, coordination, decision-making, and continuous improvement, supporting Micron’s AI transformation.
