Job summary

SkyWater Technology, Inc. is seeking a Fab Operations Technician / Clean Room Technician to produce high-quality semiconductor products. You will operate machines in a cleanroom, load/unload wafer tools, inspect finished goods, and adhere to safety and gowning procedures.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience operating semiconductor fabrication tools.
• 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills and MS Office experience.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a semiconductor environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate assigned machines in a cleanroom environment.
• Load and unload wafer production machines (microchips).
• Follow detailed instructions to ensure correct procedures are completed.
• Perform quality inspections on finished products.

• Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively during pass downs.
• Be punctual to ensure crisp pass downs between shifts.

Position Summary:

In this role, you will serve as a Fab Operations Technician/Clean Room Technician producing high-quality products for our customers.

Shift:

Wednesday through Friday in week one, and Wednesday through Saturday in week two, from 6:55 pm - 7:10 am.

This role offers a 15% differential.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Operate assigned machines in a cleanroom environment.
• Load and unload wafer production machines (microchips).
• Follow detailed instructions to ensure correct procedures are completed.
• Perform quality inspections on finished products.
• Uphold the company’s core values of Integrity, Excellence, Collaboration, Empowerment and Growth Mindset.
• Ensure proper gowning procedures and safety standards are being followed at all times in the area.
• Maintain and communicate in a positive attitude.
• Be punctual to ensure crisp pass downs between shifts.
• The job also requires performing other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• 18 years or older.
• 5 years of experience operating semiconductor fabrication tools
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• The willingness and desire to learn and grow.
• High school diploma, General Educational Development (GED) diploma, or equivalent.
• Experience with MS Office applications such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Effective organizational and planning skills.
• Previous semiconductor industry or manufacturing experience always a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to repetitively lift up to 12 pounds
• Work in a cleanroom environment wearing full personal protective equipment attire
• Stand and walk for the duration of a 12-hour shift
• Must be available to work a compressed work week, including weekends and overtime
