Job description

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a FAB Machine Operator Press Break - 1st Shift.

The hourly rate for this position is $21.00 per hour.

Shift hours are Monday-Thursday 5:00am to 3:30pm.

Salary information is a general guideline only based on candidate skills, experience, and qualifications.

What You’ll Do

• Observe all safety rules and hygiene regulations.
• Receive work assignments and instructions from the Supervisor.
• Perform initial set‑up for operation on PLC, Analog, or Manual controlled machines.
• Operate equipment/machinery to produce parts.
• Interpret work orders, Kanban cards, and drawings.
• Complete necessary paperwork and system transactions.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and materials for continuous operation.
• Inspect final component against work specifications.
• Perform necessary operator maintenance on machining and fabrication equipment.
• Report abnormal situations and submit maintenance work orders.
• Provide on‑the‑job training for new Operators.
• Perform TPM and5S+ responsibilities daily.
• Complete any other assigned tasks from management.

Qualifications

Required (Basic):

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Previous experience reading calipers, protractors, and tape measures.
• Previous experience reading blueprints.
• Must live within 50miles of Arden, NC (unless Active‑Duty Military Service member exemption applies).
• Eaton does not provide immigration sponsorship for this position.

Preferred:

• Machining Certificate.
• Previous experience in Fabrication.
• Previous DMM experience.

Position Criteria

• Able to lift 35pounds at waist, shoulder, and overhead.
• Proven history of safe work habits and good attendance.
• Must be able to work effectively without direct supervision.
• Computer skills – Microsoft Office and Internet (JOE).
• Must be willing to work overtime on weekdays and weekends.
