Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a FAB - Machine Operator - 2nd Shift.

The hourly rate for this position is $21.00/hour.

The core hours are 3:30pm-2:00am.

What you’ll do:

The Machine Operator will perform technical fabrication operations on raw materials throughout the Fabrication Department using metal processing machinery. In this role, you will:

1. Observe all safety rules and hygiene regulations
2. Receive work assignments, oral or written instructions from Supervisor
3. Perform initial set-up for operation on PLC, Analog, or Manual controlled machines
4. Operate equipment/machinery to produce parts
5. Interpret work orders including written, Kanban cards, and drawings
6. Complete necessary paperwork and system transactions
7. Maintain tools, equipment, and materials for continuous operation
8. Inspect final components against work specifications
9. Perform operator maintenance on machinery
10. Report abnormal situations and submit maintenance work orders
11. Provide on-the-job training for new Operators
12. Perform TPM and 5S+ responsibilities daily
13. Perform any other tasks assigned by management

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
• No relocation offered; candidates must live within 50 miles of Arden, NC, or be an active-duty military member

Preferred Qualifications:

• Machining Certificate
• Experience in Fabrication
• DMM experience

Position Criteria:

• Able to lift 35 pounds
• Able to read calipers, protractors, tape measures, and blueprints
• Proven safe work habits and good attendance
• Ability to work independently
• Computer skills: Microsoft Office, Internet (JOE), etc.
• Willing to work overtime on weekdays and weekends
