Job summary

Seeqc is seeking a facilities and equipment engineer to sustain and improve the foundry operations. You will perform corrective, preventative and predictive maintenance on plant utilities and equipment, collaborating across production teams to keep fab uptime high.

You will work with lithography, thin film, CMP, etch and other critical utilities, using diagnostic tools to analyze issues, disassemble and repair equipment, and implement root‑cause improvements.

Qualifications

  • Three or more years of experience with plant utilities or process tools.
  • Maintain facilities used by foundry or laboratory.
  • Electro-mechanical root cause troubleshooting of semiconductor equipment.
  • Disassemble, repair and reassemble equipment per manuals and schematics.
  • Use monitoring and diagnostic equipment for facilities and equipment checks.
  • Experience with process engineers to understand process-equipment interactions.
  • BS in Engineering disciplines.
  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control.
  • Experience in semiconductor process development (RIE, thin film, characterization, wet).

About your role

This position provides facilities and equipment sustaining support for Seeqc’s foundry. A successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability to perform corrective, preventative and predictive maintenance tasks designed to improve / sustain fab operation. Successful experienced candidates will be able to demonstrate a strong troubleshooting capability and exemplary “root cause” corrective skills and techniques. A successful candidate will also establish relationships across each team on the production floor to drive strong communication and collaboration. You will be working with other facilities and equipment engineers for facility systems including compressed air, purified water, HVAC, building infrastructure, and for equipment systems including lithography, thin film, CMP, etch, and other critical utilities that support efficient manufacturing operation

Experience you’ll need
  • Three or more years of experience with plant utilities or with process tools.
  • Work to maintain the facilities utilized by foundry or laboratory.
  • Perform electro‑mechanical root cause troubleshooting of semiconductor manufacturing equipment or work with vendors to help troubleshoot issues.
  • Disassemble, repair, and reassemble equipment according to operating manuals, schematics, blueprints, etc.
  • Use monitoring, testing, and diagnostic equipment to perform facilities and equipment checks.
  • Use data provided from equipment monitoring systems to troubleshoot or improve equipment availability.
  • Experience working with process engineers to understand process‑equipment interactions and limitations relative to operating specs is a plus.
  • BS in Engineering disciplines.
  • Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control.
  • Experience in semiconductor process development (RIE, thin film, characterization, wet etc.).
